At the heart of the ensemble, a young boy proudly wears a Highland doublet and vest (Figures 11 & 12), the traditional upper body attire for Scottish men, complete with intricate embroidery and a plaid pattern. The doublet is complemented by a pair of Scottish brogues (Figures 18 & 19), featuring the distinctive laced-up design and heavy soles that have become synonymous with Scottish footwear.
