Anne of Austria, also known as Anne of Habsburg, was born on November 22, 1601, in Granada, Spain, to Philip III of Spain and Margaret of Austria. At the age of 14, she was married to Louis XIII of France in 1615, becoming the Queen Consort of France. The marriage was arranged to strengthen the alliance between Spain and France, and Anne brought a significant dowry to the union.
