Born on April 15, 1512, James was the only surviving son of King James IV and Queen Margaret Tudor, making him the grandnephew of King Henry VIII of England. His reign was marked by political instability, military campaigns, and religious upheaval. The image, believed to be a depiction of James in his late twenties, showcases his regal bearing and striking features.
