"This evocative photograph captures the HMS Caradoc, a British Caledon C-class light cruiser, engaged in firing action in the Baltic Sea shortly after the end of the First World War in December 1918. The Caradoc, launched in 1916, was a key component of the Grand Fleet during the latter stages of the war and went on to serve in the Second World War before being decommissioned in 1946.
