Peel Hall was originally constructed by Sir John de Ardene during the mid 14th century, and demolished in 1809. It was replaced in 1810 by a farmhouse which was demolished in 1975. The former hall and farmhouse were situated in the centre of a moated site accessed by a bridge in the east and a western arm.
