Detail of an early Norman or late Saxon font with a carved square bowl on a cylindrical shaft, the top few inches of which appear to be original and the rest modern. The angle of the image shows two sides of the bowl, one including the scene of two men fighting with shields and swords, while the other depicts wild animals. A masked face on the corner can be seen more clearly and they separate the two scenes. The church has Norman origins and was rebuilt in te 13th and 14th centuries.
