CORBRIDGE Roman Town Museum, Northumberland. Replica of the Corbridge Lanx. Rectangular Roman silver platter depicting Apollo, Artemis and Athena. The original was discovered in 1735 and is owned by the British Museum.
The raised rim is decorated with a running vine-scroll in relief, and forms a frame to the picture which depicts Apollo at the entrance to a shrine; his sister Artemis enters on the left, and Athena is also present

APSLEY HOUSE, London. Wine cooler from the Duke of Wellington's Prussian Service, made in Berlin 1817-19. This was a gift to the Duke from the King of Prussia, and here depicts troops commanded by the Duke in France in 1815, in this case British Foot Guards: 2nd (Coldstream) Guards (left) and 1st Grenadier Guards. WALMER CASTLE, Kent. Items from the Lucas Collection of Wellington memorabilia. The collection includes a range of artefacts illustrating the enduring popularity of the Iron Duke throughout his lifetime, and were collected by Wing-Commander Thomas Hill Lucas (1895-1975). They were donated to the Castle in 1966. Here shown are a bronze bust, an ivory bust, a Wedgwood ceramic plaque and a Steven Green Lambeth Ware jug
