Abbey Park, Leicester. Outline of the Abbey of St Mary de Pratis, Leicester. An Augustinian house founded in 12th century. After the dissolution it was occupied as Cavendish House, but was destroyed by fire in 1645. The outline of the buildings were picked out in stone after excavation in the 1920s and 1930s.
