This stunning portrait captures the regal presence of Louis XVIII, King of France, painted by the renowned French artist Baron Francois-Pascal-Simon Gerard (1770-1837). Louis XVIII (1755-1824) ascended to the French throne in 1814, following the abdication of Napoleon Bonaparte.
