Caption: "At the Supper Table, 14 February, 1895" - A Glimpse into the Fram Expedition This print captures a moment frozen in time during the historic Fram expedition of 1893-1896. The artwork, created by Norwegian artist Johan Nordhagen and based on a photograph taken during the expedition, offers us a glimpse into life aboard the ship. In this monochrome image, we see a group of men gathered around a table in what appears to be a cabin. These brave explorers are engrossed in their meal, their faces adorned with impressive beards that have become synonymous with polar expeditions. The attention to detail is remarkable as every crease and wrinkle on their weathered faces is brought to life through Nordhagen's etching technique.
