EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we are transported back to the year 1917, amidst a gathering of influential figures led by none other than David Lloyd George, the esteemed British Prime Minister. Standing tall in their formal attire, these men exude power and authority as they pose for the camera. Among them are notable personalities such as Walter Long, Sir Robert Borden, General Smuts, WF Massey, AJ Balfour, A Henderson, Mr Bonar Law, Sir Joseph Ward, A Chamberlain, Sir Edward Carson and even the Maharajah of Bikaner. Each one played a significant role in shaping history during this tumultuous period. Lloyd-George himself had an illustrious political career spanning five decades. He held various crucial positions within the government including President of the Board of Trade and Chancellor of the Exchequer before assuming his role as War Minister and eventually becoming Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922. This photograph captures a momentous occasion when these influential statesmen came together to discuss matters that would shape not only Britain's future but also have far-reaching consequences on a global scale.
