The Thin Red Line at Balaclava, 1854, (1939) This print captures a pivotal moment in history - the heroic stand of the British Sutherland Highlanders 93rd Regiment during the Battle of Balaklava in 1854. Known as "The Thin Red Line" this military action showcased unwavering courage and resilience against a formidable Russian cavalry charge. Led by the esteemed Sir Colin Campbell, a force of only 200 men valiantly held their ground alongside walking wounded soldiers, detached Guardsmen, and Turkish infantrymen.
