The Paris Commune was a revolutionary government that ruled Paris from March 18 to May 28, 1871, following the Franco-Prussian War and the abdication of Napoleon III. La Cecilia, whose real name was Gustave Paul Cluseret, was a working-class man who rose to prominence during the Commune's brief existence.
