"In July, before noon, a young lady finds solace in the tranquil beauty of an orchard. Inspired by the enchanting scene, she reminisces about past moments captured in art. She imagines herself as the girl on a divan, caressing her dreams with grace and elegance just like Morisot's masterpiece from 1885. Transported to the French Pyrenees of the 19th century, our young lady adorns herself with a Pyrenean capulet and fontange bonnet adorned with lace and ribbons. As her imagination continues to wander, she envisions a lively children's party aboard HMS "Leander" in Yokohama, Japan - a celebration filled with laughter and joy. The spirit of adventure takes hold as she prepares for travel like Maggie did back in 1881. Returning to reality but still captivated by history's charm, our young lady gazes upon a small four-poster bed fit for a fashionable girl. She wonders what stories it holds within its elegant frame. Curiosity leads her further into Albert Guillaume's world where she witnesses both scandalous moments like 'Lifting her petticoat' and glamorous scenes at Café de Paris. These glimpses into another era leave her yearning for more. Intrigued by Prague's golden allure depicted by Vaclav Oliva in 1898, our young lady longs to explore its cobblestone streets and immerse herself in its rich culture. Her journey through time concludes with an engraving showcasing the coiffure of another young lady from 1794 - reminding her that fashion has always been intertwined with self-expression throughout history. Lost between reality and fantasy after this whirlwind tour through artistry and imagination, our young lady reflects on Lewis Carroll's words: 'Our Trip to Blunderland.
