Wood Lane is a small residential area in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and is located in the south-west of the borough, close to the border with the London Borough of Wandsworth. The area is mainly residential, with a few small shops and businesses. The area is served by two tube stations, Wood Lane and White City, both on the Central Line. There are also several bus routes which serve the area. The area has a long history, with evidence of human activity dating back to the Iron Age. The area was once part of the Manor of Fulham, and was owned by the Bishop of London until the 19th century. In the 20th century, the area was developed for housing and industry. Today, a vibrant and diverse area, with a mix of cultures and backgrounds. The area is home to a variety of shops and businesses, including a market, a library, a post office, and a number of cafes and restaurants. There are also several parks and open spaces, including Wormwood Scrubs, which is a large open space with a variety of wildlife. A great place to live, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and is a great place to explore, with lots of interesting places to visit and things to do, and is also well connected to the rest of London, making it easy to get around.
