Racecourse Ground Stadium Fine Art - Wrexham Football Club

The Racecourse Ground (Welsh: Y Cae Ras) is a stadium located in Wrexham, north Wales. It is the home of Wrexham AFC. As of August 2016, the stadium has been known as My Racecourse.[2]
The stadium is recognised by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest international football stadium that still hosts international matches, having hosted Wales' first home international match in 1877,[3] and has hosted more Wales international matches than any other ground (91).[4] The record attendance at the ground was set in 1957, when Wrexham hosted a match against Manchester United in front of 34,445 spectators

Geological map of the British Isles Featured Print

Geological map of the British Isles

Geological map of the British Isles, with a colour-coded key (right, see C015/2656 for details and names). The geology of the British Isles is extremely varied with rocks from nearly all geological periods. The rock formation types shown are: sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous. The majority of the rocks in Ireland, England and Wales are sedimentary, with large areas of volcanic and metamorphic rocks in Scotland. The sedimentary rocks are colour-coded by geological period from most recent to most ancient (top to bottom). The oldest rocks are in north-west Scotland, the youngest in south-east England. For a simpler map with less detail, see C015/2655.
