Tropics are the area of the Earth that lies between the Tropic of Cancer in the northern hemisphere and the Tropic of Capricorn in the southern hemisphere. This region is known for its warm temperatures, abundant rainfall, and lush vegetation. The tropics are home to a wide variety of plants and animals, many of which cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
The climate in this region is characterized by hot temperatures year-round, with little variation from season to season. Rainfall is plentiful throughout most of the year, though some areas may experience dry seasons during certain times. The humidity level is also high due to evaporation from nearby bodies of water such as oceans or rivers. This combination creates an ideal environment for a variety of plants and animals to thrive.
The tropics are home to some unique species that have adapted over time to survive in this environment. These include tropical birds such as toucans and parrots; reptiles like iguanas; mammals like sloths; amphibians such as frogs; fish like piranhas; and insects including butterflies and beetles. Many species have evolved special adaptations that help them survive in their particular environment, such as bright colors or camouflage patterns on their skin or feathers that help them blend into their surroundings better than other animals would be able to do so without these adaptations
In addition to being home to a wide variety of wildlife, tropical regions also provide humans with resources they need for survival including food sources like fruits and vegetables as well as materials used for construction projects or clothing production. Tropical rainforests are especially important because they provide oxygen for us all while storing large amounts carbon dioxide which helps reduce global warming effects on our planet’s climate system
Overall, tropical regions offer an incredibly diverse array of life forms both animal and plant alike along with providing us humans with essential resources we need for survival making it one truly remarkable part our planet’s natural landscape!
