"From hidden enclosures to derelict houses, trash reveals its presence in various forms. In the quiet corners of an English garden, a willow enclosure shields wheelie bins from prying eyes, concealing the remnants of daily consumption. Meanwhile, in Manchester's forgotten neighborhoods, derelict houses stand as haunting reminders of lives once lived and now discarded. In bustling London, a lorry arrives at a waste tipping area within a vast landfill site in Mucking. Here, mountains of refuse accumulate as society discards its excesses without considering the consequences. Yet amidst this chaos emerges hope for sustainability as an electromagnetic crane lifts scrap steel for recycling at Pacific Steel - a small victory against the ever-growing pile. However, not all acts involving it can driven by responsibility or necessity. Vandalism rears its ugly head when supermarket trolleys are callously thrown into Whitehaven harbour by mischievous individuals in Cumbria. The disregard for public spaces and resources leaves behind scars that extend beyond mere physical damage. Beyond these tangible manifestations lies another dimension – one that transcends language itself: body language. Ömer Ates Kızıltug captures this unspoken communication through his lens; the posture and gestures speak volumes about our relationship with waste and how it affects us on an emotional level. As we fast forward to 2022 in New York City – the city that never sleeps – happiness seems abundant but is often overshadowed by mounting piles of garbage lining its streets. In the shadow of Wall Street's towering buildings lies an inconvenient truth: our pursuit of material wealth has left us drowning in our own waste. This silent wound inflicted upon our planet calls for action and introspection alike. We find ourselves trapped with seemingly no way out unless we collectively change course towards sustainable practices and responsible consumption. " Note.
