Toyohara Kunichika, a renowned artist of the 19th century, captured the essence of Japanese theater and culture in his exquisite prints. In one of his works titled "Bath house scene, " he skillfully portrays the vibrant atmosphere of a traditional bathhouse, immersing viewers into a world filled with relaxation and camaraderie. Another masterpiece by Kunichika is his print depicting Ichikawa Udanji I as Sugawara no Michizane in the play "Shinrei Sugawara Jikki" from 1883.
