HARMONDSWORTH GREAT BARN, Greater London. Interior view. Medieval timber framed barn built in 1426-7 by Winchester College. The Great Barn is one of the largest ever known to have been built in England, and one of the most complete and unaltered pre-Dissolution buildings in Britain. Landore Viaduct construction, near Swansea, South Wales
View of construction work on the Landore Viaduct, over the Swansea valley and the River Tawe, on the Great Western Railway, Glamorgan, South Wales. The original timber viaduct was designed by Brunel, and completed in 1852. The new structure, completed in 1889, used wrought iron for the central span.
