Amidst the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea, at the southern tip of Dominica's Scotts Head, the Atlantic and Caribbean converge in a breathtaking aerial view. Meanwhile, in a contrasting landscape, a Hybrid Poplar tree plantation blankets the earth in autumn hues at Boardman Tree Farm near Irrigon. As seasons change, so do the landscapes, yet some trees remain constant. The majestic Palm Cockatoo, with its distinctive red crest, feeds on the Beach Almond tree (Terminalia catappa) along the shores of tropical islands. Back in the forest, the Indian almond or Broad downy-leaved terminalia (Terminalia catappa) provides shelter and sustenance. In another habitat, the Pink swamp heath (Sprengelia incarnata) thrives, adding a burst of color to the wetlands.
