Commanders to appear in the Royal Command of Variety Performance are the young Canadian dance team Blanche and Allan Lund, who made their name in the Canadian Navy revue "Meet The Navy" and appearing in "Picadilly Hayride".

Continuing the week-long International Folk Dance Festival and rally being held by Scouts and guides from nine nations, representatives from Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, England, France, Holland, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland, the United States and Wales held at open-air performances of singing and dancing in the cockpit, Hyde Park, London. The team stress in their national costume, after proceeding in procession from Hyde Park Corner accompanied by decorated courts, gave displays of dancing before Lady Baden Powell - World Chief Guide, who afterwards made a speech.

The latest dancing craze to hit Londons dance halls, which is expected to take place
The latest dancing craze to hit London's dance halls, which is expected to take place alongside the "Lambeth walk" "Boomps-a-daisy", "Hokey-kokey" and such is the "Re-bob-bob" which was written by the two South Africans Carl and Roger Yale, dancers are expected to "bob up and down like a monkey on a stick, clap hands, twist, waggle hands at their ears, and re-bob-bob".
