The interior of Fives Court in Little St. Martin's Lane, a popular venue for the 'Fancy' in the heyday of the prize ring, showing Jack Randall and Ned Turner sparring. The pair were old opponents of bare knuckle fighting and once Randall beat Turner in a gruelling fight of thirty-four rounds on Crawley Downs in 1818. Date: 1928

Boxing - Joe Bugner - Smith's Gymnasium, St. Ives, Cambridgeshire
British Heavyweight Joe Bugner (l) spars with his manager Andy Smith (R) in preparation for his EBU (European), Commonwealth (British Empire) and BBBofC British heavyweight titles fight with Richard Dunn. This would be Joe Bugner's first fight since losing to Muhammad Ali over a year ago. Bugner would go on to KO Richard Dunn in the 1st round to claim the titles.
