Discover the rich history and artistic wonders of Saint Gilles. Located at 12 Avenue Jef Lambeaux in Brussels, Belgium, this stunning masterpiece was created by artist Alan John Ainsworth between the years 2014 and 2017. The Maison Atelier Victor Horta on Rue Americaine is another architectural gem from 1898 that has been beautifully preserved and restored to its former glory. The attention to detail in these works is truly remarkable. Ainsworth's talent shines through in every brushstroke, capturing the essence with precision and grace. The bas-reliefs of the portal of the abbey church in Languedoc-Roussillon, France add a touch of historical significance to this collection. One cannot help but be captivated by St. Anne and her daughter, the Virgin Mary, depicted in exquisite marble sculptures. These pieces are a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of their creators. The Last Supper also holds a special place within this collection, showcasing intricate details carved into alabaster. Another notable piece features Saint James of Compostela portrayed as a pilgrim with his staff, hat, and shell alongside Saint Gilles the hermit from the 7th century. This tempera and oil on panel painting dates back to around 1450 and offers insight into religious symbolism during that time period. Lastly, we must mention Yann & Whale's detailed depiction of St. Anne and her daughter Mary in marble sculpture form - an absolute marvel for art enthusiasts.
