The mesmerizing sight of a flock of Red Knots fills the air at Snettisham RSPB Reserve in Norfolk. Among them, Oystercatcher Haematopus ostralegus can be seen roosting peacefully alongside the Knot Caldris canutus. These beautiful birds find solace in this winter haven, The Wash, as they seek refuge from the cold. In their mudflats habitat, these Knots (Calidris canutus) create a breathtaking spectacle as they take flight together, swirling and dancing above the vast expanse. Even over Liverpool Bay, with wind turbines dotting the horizon, these resilient creatures continue their journey without hesitation.
