"Polycrates: A Tale of Power, Betrayal, and Riches" Step into the world of Polycrates, a figure shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Through various artworks such as "Polycrates Crucifixion" by Salvator Rosa, we catch glimpses of his tumultuous life. In "Polycrates Crucifixion, " painted in 1664, we witness the tragic end of this enigmatic character. " Created using pen & brown iron gall ink in 1662, it showcases an early exploration of Rosa's vision for capturing this pivotal moment in time. Another artwork titled "The crucifixion the tyrant after his capture by Persians" takes us back even further, to the year 1662.
