Johann Peter Krafft (1787-1836): A prolific Austrian painter of the Biedermeier period, Krafft is renowned for his meticulously detailed portraits and studies. His works include captivating head studies for "Arindal and Daura," around 1820/1855, as well as intricate hand studies from the same time period. Krafft's repertoire extends beyond portraits, showcased in his exquisite study of a hare from around 1815. His impressive body of work includes portraits of notable figures such as Baron Peter von Duka (1814), Lieutenant Field Marshal Johann Ritter von Kutschera, Werner von Trapp, Sir Robert Wilson, and Baron Johann von Hiller (all around 1813-1814). Additionally, Krafft created portrait studies for "Archduke Karl with his staff in the Battle of Aspern" before 1817 and a study of Count Johann von Paar (1814).
