The Northern Renaissance was a period of artistic and intellectual flourishing that took place in Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries. It was characterized by a renewed interest in classical learning, humanism, and the exploration of new artistic techniques. One iconic artwork from this era is "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by Hieronymus Bosch. Painted between 1490-1500, this triptych depicts a surreal landscape filled with fantastical creatures and scenes that explore themes of sin, temptation, and redemption.
