Nanjing, a city steeped in history and culture, offers a captivating glimpse into China's rich heritage. As you wander through the grounds Museum, ancient sculptures transport you back in time to an era of artistic mastery. With my wife by my side and camera in hand, we capture the essence of this mesmerizing place. Amidst our explorations, we stumble upon an unexpected sight - a goose party. These graceful creatures gather together, creating a scene straight out of a fairytale, and is moments like these that remind us of the beauty found in nature's simplest pleasures. Venturing further into Nanjing's past, we witness road making efforts from long ago. In the early 1900s, workers tirelessly paved the way for progress in Nanking (now known as Nanjing). Their dedication and hard work laid the foundation for what would become a thriving metropolis. But it's not just roads that define this city; its natural wonders are equally awe-inspiring. A visit to Nanjing bamboo plantation reveals rows upon rows of vibrant green stalks swaying gently in the breeze. The tranquility found here is truly rejuvenating for both mind and soul. Our journey takes an unexpected turn as we find ourselves immersed in San Sebastián Festival 2009 celebrations. Qin Lan captivates with her enchanting performance while Lu Chan showcases his incredible talent on stage. Liu Ye leaves us spellbound with his artistic prowess while City of Life and Death reminds us of humanity's resilience even amidst turmoil. No trip to Nanjing would be complete without paying homage to its illustrious past at Ming Tombs. These grand structures stand tall as testaments to emperors who once ruled over this land with power and grace. The air is filled with reverence as visitors pay their respects to those who came before them. As our time comes to an end in Nanjing, memories flood our minds.
