In 1973, riding a Yamaha, Poxon conquered the Production TT race with sheer determination and unmatched talent. The victory served as a stepping stone for greater achievements yet to come. Two years later, astride a powerful Suzuki machine, he triumphed once again at the Senior TT event. Poxon's prowess extended beyond just one brand; in 1975, he dominated the Production TT aboard another Suzuki bike. His name became synonymous with excellence and consistency on both two-wheeled giants. The year 1979 witnessed Poxon's versatility as he switched gears to compete in different categories. Partnering with Nigel Rigg on a Yamaha during that year's Classic TT race proved fruitful for both riders who showcased their synchronized skills on the track. Not content with conquering road races alone, Poxon also ventured into Formula Three competitions. In 1980, piloting a Honda machine during Formula Three TT event demonstrated his adaptability and unwavering passion for speed. His success was not limited to international stages; even at home in Manx Grand Prix races held annually since 1923, Poxon showcased his mettle by clinching victory aboard his trusty Suzuki in 1973. Collaboration brought out some of Poxon's finest moments too. Teaming up with Frank Rutter on Honda motorcycles or joining forces alongside Chas Mortimer & Bill Simpson as well as David Hughes & Tony Rutter all aboard Suzukis during the thrilling Production TT race of '76 displayed teamwork at its best while securing remarkable results.
