Martin Johnson: A Versatile Artist's Legacy - From American Impressionism to African Portraits and Car Photography Martin Johnson (1817-1904) was an American painter, best known for his exquisite Impressionist works featuring Hummingbirds and Passionflowers, such as "Hummingbird and Passionflowers, ca. 1875-85" and "Hummingbird and Apple Blossoms, 1875."
