Buildings and Landmarks - Spinnaker Tower - Portsmouth
The Spinnaker Tower stands like a huge Christmas tree over Portsmouth Harbour in Hampshire, as the lights of the tower have been reset to give it a green trunk and the effect of coloured baubles around the edges.

Shukhov broadcasting tower
The Shukhov radio tower, Moscow, photographed at night. Also known as the Shabolovka tower, this broadcasting tower was designed by architect Vladimir Shukhov to serve the Russian capital. The tower is 160 metres tall and is made from a lattice of steel known as a hyperboloid - the vertical steel components describe hyperbolas over the surface of the conical tower. This design minimised wind loading on the structure. It was built in 1920-22 and is found on Shabolovka Street a few kilometres south of the Kremlin.
