In 1980, riding their LGMV Konig machine, Leif Gustavsson and Lars Schwartz showcased their exceptional skills at the Sidecar TT event. In 1982, he joined forces with Lars Schwartz to compete on a Konig-powered sidecar rig at the prestigious Sidecar TT event. The dynamic duo's skillful maneuvers left spectators awestruck as they raced towards victory. Their success only grew stronger over time. Riding an Ireson Yamaha combination in 1984 and an Ireson Yamaha once more in 1986 for subsequent Sidecar TT races proved that Leif Gustavsson was unstoppable when it came to conquering challenging tracks alongside his trusted partner Lars Schwartz. In 1987, aboard LGMY Ireson machines specially prepared for competition purposes; Leif Gustavsson showcased his unwavering determination during two separate events at the iconic Isle of Man circuit - leaving fans breathless with every lap completed. With each passing year came new triumphs for this remarkable pair. In both 1988 and 1989 editions of the Sidecar TT race series held on Isle of Man's treacherous roads; Leif Gustavsson piloted his LGMV Yamaha outfit alongside Lars Schwartz, proving their unbeatable combination once again.
