The Knights Templar, led by Hugues de Payens, were on a noble mission to collect relics for their nation. With their distinctive house habit, they embarked on daring expeditions in search of sacred artifacts. The grandeur of the Knights Templar is beautifully captured in Henri Lehmann's artwork. In Syria, the crusaders castle of Krak Des Chevaliers stood as a testament to their strength and determination. It remains a UNESCO site today, reminding us of their legacy. Guillaume de Clermont valiantly defended the walls at the Siege of Acre in 1291, showcasing the bravery and loyalty that defined these knights. Greece's Rhodes Town housed the magnificent Palace of the Grand Master where these warriors resided.
