The Japanese era, also known as the "Nengo" system, refers to the traditional method of dating in Japan based on the reigning emperor's reign. This system has been used for centuries and continues to be an important part of Japanese culture and history. Each era is named after the emperor who ruled during that time, with the current era being Reiwa. The transition to a new era is a significant event in Japan, marked by celebrations and changes in government documents and official records. The Japanese era reflects the country's deep respect for tradition and its connection to its imperial past. It serves as a reminder of Japan's rich heritage and enduring cultural identity.
