Barry Island, Wales, August 1938
View of Barry Island beach, Glamorgan, south Wales, summer 1938. The beach is very, very busy with holidaymakers enjoying the sunshine and lounging in deckchairs. Pony rides are taking place on the sands and the paddling pool in the distance is filled with people. Gwalia Tea Rooms and Dinkie Cafe can be seen to be doing a roaring trade!
