Hielscher Kurt (1881-1948) was a passionate photographer who captured the beauty of Italy through his lens. From the charming town of Fondi to the majestic Castello, he immortalized these locations in black and white photographs, preserving their timeless allure. In Ceriana, another monochromatic masterpiece emerged as Hielscher skillfully portrayed its captivating streets. Moving on to Milano, he climbed atop the roof of the Duomo, capturing a breathtaking view that showcased both the city's grandeur and architectural marvels. Venturing further south to Gaeta, Hielscher's lens focused on San Francesco with an artistic touch that brought out its historical significance. Sulmona in Abruzzi also became part of his collection; here, he revealed the region's rustic charm through striking black and white imagery. Volterra's ancient Etruscan walls stood tall under Hielscher's camera gaze. The Mura etrusche spoke volumes about Italy's rich history and cultural heritage. Piacenza’s Palazzo Municipale followed suit as it posed elegantly for his lens. Padova unfolded before us through Palazzo de Capitanio’s intricate details while Udine displayed its magnificence at Palazzo del Municipio. Forni di sotto offered a glimpse into rural Italian life with its quaint beauty captured effortlessly by Hielscher.
