Goronwy Davies, a legendary sidecar racer, left an indelible mark on the world of motorcycle racing. Partnered with various talented co-drivers throughout his career, including Elfed Davies, Elfred Davies, and Paul Chappel among others, he showcased his exceptional skills in multiple Sidecar TT races. In 1979, Goronwy Davies teamed up with Elfed Davies to compete in the Sidecar TT aboard their Yamaha machine. Their determination and synchronized teamwork propelled them to an impressive performance that earned them well-deserved recognition. The duo continued their success in subsequent years. In 1980 and 1981 editions of the Sidecar TT race, Goronwy Davies once again joined forces with Elfed Davies and Elfred Davies respectively. Together they demonstrated their unwavering commitment to excellence as they maneuvered through challenging tracks on their Yamaha-powered sidecars. The year 1983 proved to be another significant milestone for Goronwy Davies as he partnered once more with Elfed Davies for the Sidecar TT event. Their remarkable synergy allowed them to conquer obstacles effortlessly while showcasing unmatched speed and precision. Goronwy's talent was not limited to a single decade; it transcended time. In 1987, alongside Elfed Davis yet again by his side, he exhibited sheer brilliance during the Sidecar TT race. Throughout his illustrious career, Goronwy also collaborated successfully with other accomplished co-drivers such as Peter Smethurst in 1989 and Elfred Davis in 1990 – both partnerships yielding commendable results at the prestigious Sidecar TT competition.
