Augusta National Golf Club House, 1943. Augusta National Golf Club was founded by Bobby Jones (1902-1971) and Clifford Roberts (1894-1977) on the site of the former Fruitland (later Fruitlands) Nursery. The course was designed by Jones and Alister MacKenzie (1870-1934) and opened in January 1933. Since 1934, it has played host to the annual Masters Tournament. Marching through Georgia. Illustration shows a group of men and women marching under such banners as The Lips That Touch Corn Likker Shall Never Touch Ourn, WCTU, and Carrie Nation Cadets, with one man carrying a small barrel labeled Vegetable Tonic, and a large wagon labeled Water Wagon No. 1 immediately behind the leaders, to show their support for prohibition. Located strategically at the crossroads between Europe and Asia and lying along the historic Silk Road routes, Tbilisi has often been the point of contention between various rivalling powers and empires.
