George Oates: A Legendary Sidecar Racing Pioneer. With John Molyneux on the Kawasaki, they dominated the 1000cc Sidecar TT races in 1976 and 1977. Their partnership continued with the OMKS Kawasaki in 1976 TT and 1977 Jurby Road race. Earlier, with W Garrett on the Rumble BSA, they claimed victories at the 1973 500 Sidecar TT and 750 Sidecar TT at Governors Bridge. George's racing career began in the early 1970s, echoing the roar of the Kettledrum, an iconic pre-1860s drum used to start races.
