"Fur Trim: A Timeless Fashion Statement Through History" From the opulent King George V's Silver Jubilee in 1935 to the captivating portrait of Catherine II of Russia, it has long been a symbol of luxury and elegance. In a pastel portrait of King Louis XV from 1748, we see him adorned with a regal fur-trimmed coat that exudes grandeur. Even pin-up girls couldn't resist its allure, as depicted in the French Pin-up girl putting on her shoes. Her outfit is completed with a touch of fur trim, adding an element of sensuality and sophistication. The enchanting Henrietta of England, wife of Philippe I, Duke of Orleans, captured our attention in her dress embellished with fur trim and complemented by a pearl necklace. This combination epitomizes timeless beauty and refinement. Gretry's musical genius shines through in his portrait from around 1830 where he dons a coat trimmed with luxurious fur. It reflects not only his artistic prowess but also his appreciation for fashion. Moving forward to the mid-19th century, William C. "Colorado" Jewett showcases how even cowboys embraced this fashionable trend. His rugged yet stylish appearance is enhanced by his fur-trimmed attire. Intriguing imaginary portraits transport us back to the early 18th century when men wore caps and coats adorned with exquisite furs. These depictions highlight both their individuality and their desire for warmth during colder seasons. The Moors Letter painting from around 1750 captures an elegant lady wearing an ensemble featuring delicate fur accents. The restoration process has brought out its true splendor once again. Lastly, Gordon Parks' photographs immortalize two remarkable women who proudly declare their age - one claiming to be 104 years old in Daytona Beach during World War II era America. Despite living through challenging times, they radiate strength while draped in garments that include fur trim.
