"Unforgettable Moments of Fundraising: From Penny Farthing Cyclists to Live Aid Concerts" In the picturesque town of Fowey, Cornwall, August 1992 witnessed a remarkable fundraising event as Penny Farthing Cyclists took to the streets, pedaling for a cause close to their hearts. Francis Rossi, the iconic lead singer of Pop Group Status Quo, captivated audiences at the legendary Live Aid concert with his electrifying performance in support of various charitable causes. Mud and rugby merged into an extraordinary spectacle in Lerryn, St Veep, Cornwall in March 1993 when locals organized a charity match that brought together sportsmanship and fundraising spirit. Streatham's "Country Fair and Market, " held from July 3rd to July 5th (litho), created an enchanting atmosphere where visitors could indulge in shopping delights while supporting the British Home for Incurables. Haulage contractor Herbie Grindley proved his strength by challenging his own horse in a unique fundraiser that left spectators amazed and inspired by his determination.
