Fort Sumter, a historic site located in Charleston, South Carolina, has witnessed numerous significant events throughout its existence. In the mid-20th century, a hurricane struck the coast of Charleston near Hotel Fort Sumter, leaving behind a trail of destruction and reminding us of the power of nature. During the Civil War, Fort Sumter played a pivotal role as tensions escalated between the North and South. The layout of the fort at that time reveals its strategic positioning and defensive capabilities. It stood tall as a symbol representing both sides' determination to defend their beliefs.
