The Pouring Rain Over Maroochy River
After launching the boat on the Maroochy River in sunny conditions the rain clouds started to gather. For 15 minutes it continued to pour with rain, with no sign of passing. The clouds then passed and opened up to be an incredibly blue summer day. Queensland storms really are a spectacular sight!

Canyon on Mars
Canyon on Mars. Artwork of fog in the Noctis Labyrinthus canyon on Mars in theearly morning. The fog forms when water ice on thecanyon walls is vaporised by the rising Sun. Highcirrus clouds create a halo (ring) around the Sun.On either side of the Sun are parhelia (sun dogs), bright spots caused by light refracting from highice crystals. Noctis Labyrinthus is a canyonsystem that is a tributary of the vast Valles Marineris, the largest canyon in the solarsystem.
