In the courtroom, the jury's eyes were fixated on the intricate details of the Mr. Naughten trial, while outside, a close-up of a cow's head grazing in a pasture seemed a world away. An advertisement illustration of a Westie and Scottie playing fetch brought a momentary respite, but the tension returned as the jury pondered the fate of the accused.
