Eddie Kiff: A Sidecar Racing Legend For over four decades, it has left an indelible mark on the world of sidecar racing. From his early days partnering with Dick Hawes to his later triumphs alongside other esteemed riders, Kiff's name has become synonymous with speed, skill, and sheer determination. In 1971, John Wright-Bailey and Eddie Kiff took the racing scene by storm at the 500 Sidecar TT. Their partnership on a Triumph motorcycle showcased their exceptional teamwork and earned them well-deserved recognition among their peers. Throughout the years, Kiff continued to push boundaries and achieve remarkable feats. In 1985, he joined forces with Dick Hawes once again for the Sidecar TT race aboard an Anderson Yamaha. The duo's seamless coordination and unwavering focus propelled them to new heights in this exhilarating sport. Kiff's versatility was evident as he adapted to different motorcycles throughout his career. In 1991, Mick Hamblin partnered with him on a Yamaha for another unforgettable Sidecar TT performance that solidified their place in history. The year 2002 saw Kiff team up with Dick Hawes yet again for a memorable parade lap at the TT event. This special moment allowed fans to witness firsthand their enduring friendship and shared passion for sidecar racing. Not one to rest on past accomplishments alone, Eddie Kiff embraced new challenges as they arose. In 2010 and 2012 respectively, he collaborated with Wally Saunders on BMW motorcycles during Pre-TT Classic races - proving that age is no barrier when it comes to pursuing one's dreams. Kiff's dedication extended beyond personal achievements; he also played a crucial role in developing innovative sidecars such as Ireson (1996), Langham Jacobs (2000), DMR (2005), British Magnum (1978), Norton (1971), Busch (2002), and MRE BMW (2012).
