The Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Alfred von Coburg, was a prominent figure in European royalty during the 19th century. Born in 1844, he had a deep connection to his family's heritage and played an important role in shaping their legacy. In 1856, at the young age of twelve, Alfred visited the renowned Day & Sons lithography workshop. This early exposure to artistry would later influence his own pursuits and appreciation for creativity. Alfred's life was intertwined with significant moments in history. In 1894, Queen Victoria and members of her family embarked on a visit to Germany where they were captured together in a captivating black-and-white photograph.
