"Des Founds: A Sidecar Racing Legend" Des Founds, alongside his trusted partner Jim Craig, made waves in the world of sidecar racing during the 1981 and 1982 Sidecar TT races. The Quarter Bridge became synonymous with Des Founds' skill and determination as he conquered it during the 1982 Sidecar TT. The crowd held their breath as he maneuvered his bike flawlessly, showcasing his unmatched expertise. In 1987, Des Founds joined forces with Gary Irlam on an REA Suzuki at the Sidecar TT. Throughout his career, Des Founds shared numerous victories with Dicky Gale. In both 1991 and 1996 Sidecar TT races, they dominated aboard DJS Kawasaki and Yamaha machines respectively. Fast forward to present day - Tim Reeves & Kevin Rousseau (LCR Yamaha) and Des Founds & Jevan Walmsley (LCR Rotec) showcased their skills at the thrilling Southern 100 race in 2022.
