The following year, Dave Croxford hopped onto a John Player Norton for the Formula 750 TT race. His partnership with this powerful machine proved to be unstoppable as he crossed the finish line triumphantly, leaving his competitors in awe. Teaming up with Charlie Sanby on Triumph bikes for the 1974 Formula 750 TT race was another highlight of Dave's career. Together, they formed an unbeatable duo that dominated their rivals and secured yet another remarkable victory. Not one to rest on his laurels, Dave Croxford switched gears and competed in various races throughout his career. From riding a Triumph bike during the Production TT in 1975 to showcasing his skills on an NSU bike at the Lightweight TT in 1965 – there seemed to be no limit to what he could achieve. His passion for racing extended beyond just one brand or model. In 1973, Dave took part in both Production TT races aboard a Norton bike – proving that versatility was indeed one of his greatest strengths. Throughout multiple Junior TT races over several years, including AJS bikes in both 1965 and 1967 editions - it became clear that Dave's talents were not limited by time either. He consistently pushed boundaries and set new standards within each competition he entered. However, it was undoubtedly with John Player Norton bikes that Dave truly made history during numerous Formula 750 TT events between '73-'74. These victories solidified him as one of racing's all-time greats while etching his name into the annals of motorcycle racing.
