Journeying back in time to the Ancient Dorset, we catch a glimpse of Duria antiquior - an imaginative reconstruction of the life of crocodiles. From prehistoric times to modern-day encounters, these fascinating creatures have left their mark on various landscapes and cultures. In Playa Larga, Bay of Pigs, Mantanzas Province, Cuba, crocodiles reign supreme. Picture No. 10766592 captures their majestic presence as they navigate through the tranquil waters with grace and power. But not all encounters with they are serene. Mr Punch and the crocodile bring a touch of whimsy to our perception of these ancient reptiles. Their playful antics remind us that even fearsome creatures can have a lighter side. The Extirpation of the Plagues of Egypt takes us back to 1798 when revolutionary crocodiles were destroyed in an effort to rid Egypt from biblical plagues. This historical event showcases both the awe-inspiring nature and cultural significance attributed to these formidable predators. Fast forward to 1913, where Various Reptiles captivate our imagination with their diverse forms and colors. Among them stands the Nile Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus), its jaws wide open on the shore of Mara River – a reminder that danger lurks beneath seemingly calm waters. Venturing into North America's Florida Everglades reveals another iconic species: The Florida Alligator among cypress trees. These reptilian giants coexist harmoniously within this unique ecosystem while captivating visitors with their primal allure. Kruger National Park presents yet another breathtaking sight – a Nile Crocodile basking under sunlit skies with its mouth agape in all its predatory glory. This image serves as a testament to both their strength and resilience in one Africa's most renowned wildlife sanctuaries. From Africa's plains to Australia's Gulf of Carpentaria, fresh water crocodiles find solace on the water's surface.
